In 1958, tailor Raffaele Caruso left Naples for love. With him travelled the great school of Neapolitan tailoring to Soragna, a small town in Parma where no tailoring tradition yet existed. Together with his wife, he founded an atelier and began handcrafting tailor-made garments.
What began as a modest workshop grew, through Caruso’s talent and the entrepreneurial spirit of his sons and collaborators, into Fabbrica Sartoriale Italiana—a house now employing over 600 people.

By the 1990s, Caruso’s exceptional quality and rare collaborative flexibility had caught the attention of some of the world’s most notable couture names, who entrusted their collections to the Soragna atelier. Through discretion and quiet excellence, Caruso became a trusted partner to designers and brands including Tom Ford, Lanvin, Dior, Berluti, Thom Browne and Ralph Lauren Purple Label.
Every garment is still made in Soragna, a core aspect in Caruso’s identity. Nestled in the heart of the Bassa Emiliana, Soragna offers not just a workforce, but a terroir: a unique ecosystem of people, passion, and purpose. It is where a love of craft, beauty, and innovation come together—the perfect home for Fabbrica Sartoriale Italiana and the enduring spirit of Caruso.

Today, Caruso is defining itself as a tailoring house in its own right. Moving away from manufacturing for other maisons, the atelier is dedicated entirely to garments that bear its own name—crafted with the same artisanal philosophy that has distinguished the house for generations. Under the stylistic vision of creative director Max Kibardin, the brand’s vision is to honour its heritage while shaping a future where Caruso is synonymous not just with expertise, but with its own enduring identity in Italian tailoring.
