Founded in 1956 in the small town of San Vito di Leguzzano, near Vicenza, Xacus began as a modest workshop in the attic of the Xoccato family home. From the outset, founder Alberto Xoccato sought to create shirts that combined meticulous craftsmanship with refined, timeless design.

Through its evolution in the 1970s—from a local craft atelier to a respected name within Italy’s fashion landscape—Xacus remained true to its artisanal principles. The house cultivated the most outstanding skills in hand-finishing, cut, and construction, while drawing upon the world’s most respected shirt fabric producers, including Cotonificio Albini, Tessitura Monti, and Thomas Mason.

By 2010, Xacus had established itself as a house that honours tradition while embracing innovation. Every shirt is crafted in-house by a team of skilled artisans, reflecting respect for proportion and material that has defined the house from its inception. Each piece balances heritage with contemporary sensibility, resulting in shirts that move naturally with the body yet remain unmistakably Italian in character.

Nearly seven decades on and still in the hands of the Xoccato family, Xacus continues to create shirts of exceptional quality—garments that speak of Italian tailoring, the result of deep, intergenerational respect for craft, design and attention to detail.
